Keyboard navigation on windows is poor. You have to use the mouse to move between fields, you can't use the tab key to select the "Send" button. I really like the service, and it's nice to have the push notifications, but this extension could use a fair bit of polish.
This WOULD be a great app if it didn't have so many problems. If you don't have gmail open in another window, you can't place a call via Google Talk (at your work computer with your headphones on, for instance). And even if you have Gmail open, most of the time the call to Google Talk won't go thru, so you have to refresh gmail or close it and reopen it entirely. It's depressing that Google doesn't work on their comms anymore, in favor of Google Plus and Hangouts. Not everyone likes social networking, least of all in business. Furthermore, Google Plus has low market share and is not user friendly nor integrated with Google Voice accounts. In Comms, Google really needs to get their S together, it's depressing how many things they're leaving by the wayside in favor of Plus which is mediocre platform. UPDATE: May 2015 the googtards "updated" their comms apps to Hangouts, so now GChat won't open when you want to make a call. Google is once again screwing its customers, all in the pursuit of Facebook imitation. How many times are you going to torch your own brand simply due to Facebook jealousy Google?
Please update this to work with the new hangouts. When I click a number it does not ring in anymore.
Not useful anymore - pain in the rear to make calls and badge count for unread messages is never accurate.
Can't send texts any more, keep getting "Please try again"
Love Google Voice and being able to text from my browser. Would love to also answer/make calls from the extension though.
