Even if it hasn't been updated in years, still seems to work in common websites. Simple and functional. A couple of tips: if it's set to only play the animation once and you want to repeat a gif's animation you can: 1)change the extension option and do a normal reload (F5) 2)Clear the cache reload (ctrl+shift+R) 3) Open the direct link to the gif (in which a normal reload will repeat the animation even with the "only once" setting).
Great extension but missing feature "click on image to play".
Super simple. Blocks most animations.
now i can finally stop those annoying gifs...
where is the by Google Stamp ?
Works for me. Had to reload the page after making my selection, but then ran the animation once and quit. Only reason I didn't give it a 5-star is it lacks flexibility to start and stop easily. Version 55.0.2883.75 m Windows 7
Excellent extension to remedy annoying gratuitous endless animated gifs abused by web designers who do not yet understand what web animations are for and still think that using late 90's nonsense is a good idea, showing a complete ignorance about what constitute good practices, and how effective design can achieve successful User eXperience. Thanks for making this extension available and "patching" a massive shortcoming of Google Chrome which after countless iteration does not come with a native option to allow this very simple but extremely useful control.
doesn't work chrome win10
I set this to run the GIFs only once and it's working perfectly. I often read articles that are illustrated with moving images that make me seasick while I'm trying to focus on the text. This extension solved my problem. THANK YOU! Also, I'm using Vivaldi, not Chrome :-)
Not working for me, either.
