Thank you - it blocks all the annoying animated images
With the disable setting, it freezes the GIF on its first frame. Works on GIF banner ads, Tumblr posts with single GIFs, as well as a panel of multiple GIFs (I tried it on a Tumblr page with a nine GIF panel). It did not work on a Tumblr archive page, when you add " /archive " to the end of a Tumblr URL to pull up all posts. None of the many GIFs running were disabled. If you open a GIF post from the archive page, the GIF will be disabled on that specific post. Many of the ads, Tumblr posts are now HTML5 and will not be blocked by this extension. Click-to-play does work on HTML5, at least on Tumblr. At first glance, it may be hard to tell the difference between GIF and HTML5.
It works for most animated images, but not others—for example, those that appear on Yahoo Style (style.yahoo.com)
Works fine for me; Chromium 48 on Linux. Why anyone's running a new-ish extension on an ancient Chrome is beyond me

Doesn't block gifs. Useless.

If i missed first animation i need to switch settings of extension and reload page, bad UX. Removed the extension.
