Just started, but I am impressed and enjoying it very much so far.
Review of Lingopie + Netflix: So fun! I'm watching "La Legge di Lidia Poet" (The Law According to Lidia Poet) to learn Italian. I love how the script is not only written out but also highlighted according to the parts of speech (Nouns = blue, Verbs = bright purple, etc.). (BTW, If you need to brush up on English grammar in order to better learn another language, I HIGHLY recommend Grammar Revolution by Elizabeth O'Brien.) By clicking on a word shown in the subtitles on screen, I can add it to my list of words I wish to learn. Since verbs are broken down, I can learn the root verb *and* how to conjugate it (like "Lasciatemi andare" = root word: lascia (to leave/let go) te (you) mi (me), "Lasciatemi" = "(you) let go of me!"). So helpful! On top of that, the Grammar section is great for nerds like me who want to understand the mechanics of the language. I'm absolutely loving Lingopie + Netflix! The multiple language options are also very impressive. Highly recommend!
Early days, and still learning to work with it, but already love it! Thank you!
This is incredible, bung Duolingo. This is what you need.
The emphasis is on learning the language, and excellent learning tools are provided for the content. With that in mind this is a very good extension and for learning French it is fantastic. There are a lot of Netflix series represented with these tools and a few episodes per series. You do need a Netflix subscription. The dual subs are accurate, with click to flashcards and definitions to build your vocabulary.
I am learning Italian using Lingopie. This program is very useful because of its Netflix selections, subtitles, scripts, quizzes, and pointers for nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives.
Easiest way to learn ever made just watch stuff and click to make it save stuff for later to see if you remember and then repeat until you do. It's multiple choice has no grades and can be repeat until you get 100 percent. I am learning four language at once just to watching cartoons.
What a great way to learn Spanish - thank you - awesome innovation
I like the options available for Spanish as it has good series and movies but I originally bought lingopie for Russian and I was disappointed with the lack of selection for the language and looking at the past updates none have been for Russian. My skills in the language are beginner level and so I was looking for easy cartoons and there are like two options which is not a lot and I haven't seen an update to the language yet so I definitely recommend for Spanish although there are many other resources to learn the language I was excited for the Russian option as its hard to find authentic Russian movies and cartoons in the US I still hold hope that the selections will expand in the future
I have loved the experience here at LingoPie. I have learned a lot and I think this is the best platform to learn vocabulary in context and not only that, you can review the words learned other time by quizzes and flashcards. It's so cool.
