When you pause a YouTube video, the player controls don't disappear. That makes it really hard to take a clean screenshot of the video. The controls also block your view, which can get really annoying. Hyde is a simple Chrome extension that allows you to hide or show the video player controls easily.
⭐ Simply use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+M to hide the controls or show them again. ⭐

control + M = Mute Ladies and Gentlemen How does this have 4.2 stars?
Hey brother, there is a problem with the shortcut key of this plugin, Ctrl+M will only mute the video, can you change it?
works just change the shortcut to ctrl+b
does not hide the seek bar, still helpful though
Abso-f***ing-lutely does not work.
still shows the red bar, everything else is gone, unless not completely gone, not useful
doesn't work on edge
Hard-coding hotkeys (rather than letting the user specify their own) is lazy, user hostile, and poor development practice. Hard-coding a hotkey to the same as an existing frequently-used function (Ctrl+M = mute audio) is sheer idiocy, and results in this extension not working at all on my browser because the hotkey just mutes audio instead.
