When you pause a YouTube video, the player controls don't disappear. That makes it really hard to take a clean screenshot of the video. The controls also block your view, which can get really annoying. Hyde is a simple Chrome extension that allows you to hide or show the video player controls easily.

on Edge this works too, you need to set the hot key in edge://extensions/shortcuts

While in Brave Browser I had to set the toggle hotkey, after that it worked simply and properly. rightclick topright extensions icon > Manage Extensions > leftbar Keyboard shortcuts > hyde, hide/show controls, edit icon
The time bar continues appearing.

Worked great for me! Though I do wish it would move the channel watermark back to its standard position once the player controls have been hidden.
