When you pause a YouTube video, the player controls don't disappear. That makes it really hard to take a clean screenshot of the video. The controls also block your view, which can get really annoying. Hyde is a simple Chrome extension that allows you to hide or show the video player controls easily.

Default Brave ctrl+m keybinding is to mute the current tab. brave://extensions/shortcuts Copy and paste the above address into your address bar and set the Hyde extension "hide/show controls" keybinding to whatever you like. If set to ctrl+m you will no longer have the ability to mute your current tab.
WORKS IN BRAVE, JUST CHANGE HOTKEY BECAUSE CTRL+M IS A BUILT IN SHORTCUT KEY IN BRAVE (IT MUTES)

The progress bar for the video still gets shown, but the recent fix I found is simply to just remove and re-add the extension. thanks! I was able to get so many desktop wallpapers with this bad boy.
Sometime recently, the progress bar for the video no longer gets hidden. Controls still get hidden, though.
Works on Chrome and Opera but not on edge. Please fix.
November, 6. 2024 Its woking amazingly well, perfect. I recently discovered this Extension and i'm loving it, i press one or two times Ctrl+M and it washes away all the visual interruption from the youtube videos.
