This extension allows to find and delete duplicate bookmarks, empty folders, merge folders with the same name (within the same path), find no longer working and expired bookmarks and remove them easily.

Permissions explained:

1. Read and change your bookmarks(required on install) - required for core functions to work

2. Read and change all your data on the websites you visit(optional, not asked until you use Broken URLs checker) – to check if bookmarked page loads and doesn't return any error.

After the scan, the extension found more than 4000 duplicate bookmarks. But there's no way to "select all". What the hell was the developer thinking? Am I suppose to select one by one?

Tried Bookmark Commander, Bookmark Manager, and this. They all have UI issues. In addition to things like just removing all empty folders without telling me what they are, it also shows duplicate folders but it will return like the same bookmark that I have 10 times (from my days when I would TAG bookmarks in Digg, and then Chrome duplicated them) but I have to tick INSIDE EACH CHECKBOX to select all 10. This would be OK if I was doing it regularly but this is a problem for me. Tedious and poorly designed UI.

Finds broken URLs but doesn't tell you WHERE it found them or give you a chance to edit them! Removes empty folders but won't tell you what they are!

Completely useless for me, as I have over 4,000 duplicates I need to remove, and as others have said, there's no option to delete only duplicates while leaving the originals alone. So you need to manually click on each one to remove it, which will take forever. If you only have a few bookmarks or less than 100 or so, then clicking each one to delete one-by-one is doable with this, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars and not one, even though I couldn't use it for what I needed it for.
