This extension allows to find and delete duplicate bookmarks, empty folders, merge folders with the same name (within the same path), find no longer working and expired bookmarks and remove them easily.
Permissions explained:
1. Read and change your bookmarks(required on install) - required for core functions to work
2. Read and change all your data on the websites you visit(optional, not asked until you use Broken URLs checker) – to check if bookmarked page loads and doesn't return any error.

Great utility. saved me tons of time!
Works as advertised with a clean UI and wise recommendation to backup before running it.
very helpful extension
Very fast and easy. It gives four different options: find duplicated bookmarks, remove empty folders, merge duplicate folders, find broken URLs. I am using it mainly for the find duplicated and find broken options. My one suggestion for improvement is that when somebody clicks on "merge duplicate folders" there ought to be a pop-up warning asking them if they are sure they want to merge the folders and saying that "this action cannot be undone". My bookmarks are heavily organized and structured and therefore some of them are duplicated on purpose. Clicking on "merge duplicate folders" merges these duplicates extremely quickly and once that's done, you cannot undo it without re-importing all of your bookmarks (assuming you saved a copy of your structure prior to using this).
FANTASTIC extension !!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ thank you [ developer ] for making it & providing it for FREE to use !!! your extension WORK as advertised -;) so far I do not have & I do not see any issues with your extension, tested on finding DUPLICATES in very large set & your extension did splendid job of identifying all duplicates - GREAT work !!! your extension is VERY fast too !!! I do see IMPROVEMENT too; ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ when MERGING bookmarks your extension will not do job when bookmarks are present in DIFFERENT TREES - when bookmarks structure is very complicated !!! you may / shall improve your extension functionality by first LOCATING tree end FOLDERS which are [ by name ] identical & attempt merge these end tree folders !!! but above is just suggestion to IMPROVE & maybe get 6 or 7 STARTS instead of 5 stars as I provided to extension today / now -;) to sum; GREAT work - thanks for it !!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It doesn't seem to work on bookmarks in the bookmarks bar
Does its job. A search/filter function would be handy, but works quite nicely as-is.
The only interesting option that would allow to select all duplicates (in order to delete them easily) is just not there.
