This extension stops YouTube HTML5 and Flash players from auto-buffering videos. Using this add-on (extension) you can save bandwidth and also prevent YouTube on multiple tabs from buffering media simultaneously.
You will have to click on the player to allow buffering of the media files. Once a player is buffered, it can play multiple tracks. There is no need to activate the player on each new track (so you can easily watch playlists for instance).

1. Stop auto-playing on "/watch?v=" pages
2. Stop auto-playing on "/user/" pages
3. Stop auto-playing on "/channel/" pages

have loved this extension for so long and it worked so fluidly and low maintence in the background that I almsot completly forgor it was was working. within the last few days, as others have noted, it has broken. Hoping for a fix plz and thank you <3

Kind of a niche problem, but once i tweaked settings, it worked perfectly!

Apparently the only autoplay blocker that stops ALL videos from automatically playing, & not just the ones on playlists. FYI to developer, this app does not even come up in the first page of results when looking up autoplay blockers, possibly because the title is "Stop Auto-Play" & not "Stop Autoplay." Didn't even find it until I looked up "youtube stop buffering." If it stops working, uninstall then reinstall.
