High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Fantastic - I was not using Chrome for its lack of contrast and clarity, especially reading news sites... although I love it... NOW, WOW, all so clear with high contrast!
I had last year and up to 7/15 and default setter worked most of time on the sites I needed. New computer or HiCoontrast. change and now the default page is close to useless. Default changes occur 95% time. A new site-a new contrast. New day--different setting. I would rate first install[8/14/7/15] a 4 star. This install a 2 star and quickly going down. Not as reliable for some reason but need the product due to age of my eyes.
Made shopping sites very annoying to view. Colors were muted to the extent that you couldn't tell what some items were.

I absolutely love this extension. I am a person who often uses my computer at night or with low to little light for the rest of the day. This extension is truly a godsend for me!
does not work very well. Hard to see anything. Mostly changes things to a negitive type look. It SUCKS
love this when working but a update for google broke this now it makes all of the page but about 4 inches of it disappear please fix helps a lot and going to miss it
