High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Nice extension which allows changes to avoid eyestrain on individual sites whose templates are too bright for extended use.
画面を暗めの配色にしたい時にもってこいのアドオンなのですが・・・ ハイコントラストを有効にしている間は謎のスクロールバー延長現象が起き、ブラウジングや動画の全画面表示の操作感に対して（個人的には）かなり深刻な影響を与えています。
Absolutely love this extension BUT...had to uninstall because of the enormous amount of white space at the bottom of every webpage. Is there a fix for this in the works? I couldn't figure out why my scroll bar turned into a tiny square when usually it's a much larger rectangle. I uninstalled this then read Heather's review and sure enough :(
On my Linux system, this will extend the web pages past the end of the data... Switchboard web site took 152 <PgUp> to get back to the top on the page after <Ctrl-End> From top, only 2 pages showed data... also does this on most pages. Had to uninstall it. Also seems to slow down Chrome loading pages? Aside from that (!), I liked it LOTS...
Painfully doesn't work on any google page! and its made by google. Better options out there that do work on all google pages keep searching.

Very helpful
This extension has been degrading over the last month. First, it would create pages and pages of blank space at the bottom of every page. Now it causes a lot of pages to appear and then go completely blank (white). This happens 100% of the time with GMail & Google Calendar. As soon as I disable it, everything works fine. I even disabled all other extensions to make sure there wasn't a conflict. This is definitely an issue with the High Contrast extension. When it works, this extension is great! Please fix.
