Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Make sure to use Chrome version 84+ with this extension, otherwise the automatic selection of the locationbar text doesn't work.

Since Google updated Chrome to version 29, the App overview is no longer shown, when opening a new tab. This extension restores that behaviour to the way it was.

Tip: the keyboard shortcut CTRL+L (Windows/Linux) or CMD+L (macOS) highlights the URL.

v.3.0.0

* Upgraded to manifest V3. The rest of the extension code is exactly the same as version 2.1.0. Please bear in mind that the display of the apps is handled by internal Chrome code. This means that this extension has no influence over how that looks.

* Fixed a bug so that the address bar is highlighted again

It appears that Chrome 35 has resolved the omnibar issue. I can start using this again since Google decided to not give us the option unfortunately. Great app again!

Starting with Chrome v35, the omnibar text is selected again, so 5 stars for this.

This does everything I want it to except it does not clear the omnibar as stated in the description. Once this is done it will be complete.

It works but as others have mentionned, you need to clear the omni bar before you type anything else than "chrome://apps" This is pretty annoying because I often do "CTRL+T" followed by a website. With this extension, this workflow does not work anymore.
