Overview

Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

Privacy Badger sends the Global Privacy Control signal (https://globalprivacycontrol.org/) to opt you out of data sharing and selling, and the Do Not Track signal (https://www.eff.org/issues/do-not-track) to tell companies not to track you. If trackers ignore these signals, Privacy Badger will learn to block them.

Besides automatic tracker blocking, Privacy Badger replaces potentially useful trackers (video players, comments widgets, etc.) with click-to-activate placeholders, and removes outgoing link click tracking on Facebook and Google, with more privacy protections on the way.

Used so many resources I couldn't get anything in chrome to react while a tab was loading in the background. (ie. closing tab, closing browser, the usual steps to kill a resource hog) The blocking seemed to work just fine, but I can't wait >15 seconds to load each webpage on a 2015 Macbook Pro.

Leider funktioniert der Privacy Badger auf Chrome nicht so gut, wie beim Firefox. Aber es ist mir immer noch lieber als auf das kommerzielle Ghostery zu setzen.

Please provide some stats about total number of blocked items. A list of suggested block list is really useful. Thanks.

Dislike the general concept of blacklisting based on traffic analysis. Gave it a shot and waited a day of full browsing. Many many obvious trackers were still being loaded. Perhaps waiting longer will eventually fix this...not sure. But what a gamble. Eventual maybe privacy is not acceptable. I trust eff far more than I do Ghostery, but Ghostery just works.

I like the concept and what you're trying to do for us, EFF, but this extension is breaking parts of the web. Notable Example: All of Wikia.
